Already a new post in this category? Must be a new record!
So, let’s see what has happend in the meantime…
The Git repositories on BitBucket.org for my “projects” CLIOptions, InitFile and win32aux don’t exist anymore; but the code itself has been moved to/assimilated by my new catch-all repo The Nifty Oddity Toolkit.
Picked up work with “MusicDB” again, now renamed to “Jukebox” (its repo is still private): The goal is to create a library and applications/utility programs that will help to organize the metadata of a local music collection.
It was originally planned (and still is, at a later stage) to be a sort of “companion module” for RandFill (like WPDLib also is). But due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I’m just not listening to music on the go at the moment very much (Lockdown and Home-Office…), so my work on those two projects will probably stall a bit longer. On the other hand, I was switching away from some another program on my PC, due some issues with Win10, and haven’t yet found a good replacement for it – that gave me the motivation to pick up this project again…
The plan is to use SQLite (which will teach me more about SQL, I hope) and TagLib for the metadata/database parts, Qt 6 with QML for the GUI, and maybe some other third-party component for the playback…
Updated, extended and revised my blog post on supporting CMake’s find_package() functionality.
Added a new function (Split-saoeIntoChunks) and updated another one (Get-saoeADGroupMembers) in my Powershell utility module.
Added a new page: My little Coding Style & Design Guide.
That was a text file that I started back in 2006, to collect all the snippets of wisdom that were floating around. After a long hiatus, I revised it and put it online now (just to emphasize it: Most of the content is other people’s work).
